What
is life coaching? Coaching
aims to help you get what you want out of life. As your coach, I will support,
encourage and challenge you in a non-judgmental way. We will start by looking
at what you want from life and which areas of life give you the least satisfaction.
We will use a mixture of exercises and talking to work out what you want to focus
on. You can use me as a sounding board to bounce ideas around and together we
will work out a plan of action to help you achieve a greater sense of wellbeing.
Sometimes
it may be tough going with many demands on your time and barriers to overcome.
We can step back and look at what might be blocking you and work out ways to tackle
obstacles. We can also improve how you feel about yourself to reduce negative
thoughts and feelings that might inhibit you. By breaking down your aims into
achievable steps you will start to see progress and believe that you can take
control of your life and gain in confidence. "The
coaching sessions helped me through some difficult decisions. I felt able to move
forward without contemplating my navel too much. Nicola skilfully helped me to
be task-orientated while supporting the feelings that went along with making big
changes to my life." Liz,
a teacher Coaching
is positive, proactive and forward thinking and takes place in a partnership.
It requires 100% commitment from both sides of the partnership. By having regular
sessions to keep your motivation going, you will probably find you achieve more,
stretching yourself further than you thought possible. For
life coaching to start making a difference to your life, I recommend at least
four sessions but there is no set time limit and it is up to you to decide how
many sessions you require. We can either meet face to face or conduct coaching
sessions by telephone or email.

am really grateful that I found Nicola at exactly the time when I needed to explore
all these new and different avenues. Without her help I would probably still be
directionless or hopping from one mode of work to the next, worrying about when
the next payment would hit my bank account." Anne,
